Description of your missions
The Southern Regional Manager is responsible for implementing company policy at regional level. He/she steers and coordinates the activities of the entire South region in order to optimize the economic performance of the branches in line with the company's strategy. He/she assists and advises branch managers in the management of their activities and teams, identifies local growth opportunities, and participates in the negotiation of major projects.
As a unifying force, he/she is the guarantor of the cohesion of the agencies and ensures compliance with the company's development and sales strategy. He/she represents the company at regional level in dealings with public institutions, local authorities, all stakeholders and ENR networks.
In addition to direct management of the Montpellier branch, the South Regional Manager will be responsible for all branches in the South region:
Expertise
- Supervision of prospecting and development of solar, wind and hydroelectric projects
- Supervision of development activities: bringing projects from an initial stage of prospecting leads to a "ready-to-build" state where all administrative authorizations have been obtained and land agreements, grid connection and energy sales tariffs have been secured.
- Search for new project opportunities, networks and partners
- Participation in strategic co-development negotiations
- Participation in decision-making committees
- Regulatory and competitive intelligence
- Regular regional travel to agencies
Working with the Sales Manager
- Coordination and development of working networks with new regional partners
- Leading and developing networks of business introducers
Contribution to regional strategy (Vision)
- Participate in drawing up the prospecting & development strategy with management to develop the solar and wind power market segments (industrial/tertiary, SME/SMI, farmers, local authorities, etc.) and ensure their implementation.
- Identification & analysis of potential growth drivers, including partnerships, and coordination of a strategic development plan for the region.
Management
- Recruitment, training, management and supervision of operational teams comprising branch managers, prospecting and development managers, and associated operational teams (regional development managers, development project managers) as well as the "Toitures & Ombrières" unit.
- Ensuring the successful completion of projects developed by managed teams
Representation & Public Affairs
- Representation of ELEMENTS on the ground with local political players (sub-prefects, departmental and regional prefects, MPs, elected representatives, local authorities, etc.), institutions (government departments, commissions, etc.) and energy players (unions, cooperatives, etc.).
- Expertise, public affairs relations (support for meetings with associations and local residents, negotiations with political and decision-making bodies on projects)
- Active participation in national outreach and public communication, regional lobbying with prospecting and development managers, the French business manager, and COMEX members involved:
- Sustained direct territorial lobbying and support for prospecting & development managers and project managers, depending on the level of importance of the contacts involved.
- Involvement in sponsorship & partnerships, regional measures with communications and sales departments
- Promote and represent ELEMENTS to the industry, political decision-makers and institutional players, and support intermediary managers in territorial lobbying.
Cooperation & Reporting
- Regular reporting on your teams' activity (and in the CRM, steering tools)
- Liaise and monitor projects with the French Development Director (quarterly reports, committees, etc.).
- Close collaboration with other departments (sales, legal, project optimization, financing, construction) to ensure the successful development and completion of projects.
- Improving prospecting and development tools with other departments
Skills required
- Excellent knowledge of the RE sector, project auditing (feasibility, risks, issues, measures) and stakeholders
- Professional experience (senior level, with managerial experience)
- Managerial skills
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information, particularly on the competition
- Writing and organizational skills (operational implementation of ambitions)
- Mastery of communication and office automation tools
