Description of your missions
As part of the strengthening and structuring of Elements' Paris office, and in line with company policy, you will manage a team in charge of independently prospecting and securing a portfolio of new renewable energy production projects in relation with local partners (owners, business introducers, local authorities, residents, etc.) covering the northern half of France.
Your main tasks will be as follows:
- Identification of potential project development sites with the mapping team and the network of opportunities (key accounts, business introducers, etc.).
- Pre-feasibility study of identified sites, analysis of competitive context and identified technical, political and environmental/landscape constraints. Pre-analysis of grid connection constraints
- Canvassing of local councils and landowners to initiate and secure new projects (signing of long-term lease agreements, obtaining approval from the relevant local councils).
- Pre-consultations with government departments and managers/organizations in order to prepare high-quality dossiers for development projects (DDT, CDPENAF, Chamber of Agriculture, etc.).
- Development of a network of local business introducers
- Internal transfer of project for development, coordination with development team to obtain building permits
- Maintaining good relations with the whole region during project development
- Participation in company life, support for financing and construction start-up processes
- Team management
- Implement the prospecting and development strategy established in consultation with management
- Participate in the continuous improvement of work methods
- Recruit new prospectors
As an experienced prospector, you will also be in close contact with the Regional Manager, whom you will support in leading the life of the agency, participating in regional events (trade shows, public meetings, elected officials' working meetings, committees, etc.) and supporting the agency's operational team, as well as coordinating and reporting with the Paris and head office teams.
Frequent travel in the field is planned in the assigned departments.
Skills required
- Higher education such as business school, real estate/land development/urban planning, engineering school (specializing in energy, regional planning, the environment), or IEP.
- 4 years' experience in renewable energies with a developer
- Strong knowledge of renewable technologies
- Oral presentation and interpersonal skills
- Agricultural or agri-solar knowledge would be appreciated
- Knowledge of financial models, pre-construction or Qgis would be a plus
- B license
