Description of your missions
As part of the deployment of its projects, we are looking for a trainee for the Montpellier agency.
You will be involved in Cartographic innovation in the renewable energies sector:
- 80% of your internship time:
- Study of the contribution of remote sensing to renewable energy: Relevance of this type of technology in the renewable energy sector. Optimization of our methods and tools.
- Participation in team and project meetings
- At 20% of your internship time:
- Occasional assistance with various phases of wind/solar projects already underway in the region and managed by the agency's project managers (thematic mapping, analysis of issues, land and territorial analysis).
- Detection and selection of favorable sites (potential implantation zone) for the implantation of wind turbines and solar power plants (study and mapping of constraints with cartographers)
Skills required
- Engineering school / Master Cartography - Geomatics
- Proficiency with GIS software: QGIS
- Knowledge of remote sensing
- General knowledge of the RE sector appreciated
