Construction of the self-consumption ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant for the Union des Distilleries de la Méditerranée - Vita Nova group is nearing completion at Vauvert in the Gard département (30).

Self-consumption photovoltaic power plant projects have many advantages for manufacturers, such as this 1MWp park, which provides a virtuous circle of support for the UDM - Vita Nova group's business.

⚡Supply decarbonated electricity directly (without going through the ENEDIS public distribution network and therefore being exempt from TURPE and CSPE taxes) to the UDM, making it possible to meet around 20% of electrical consumption needs. The surplus will be re-injected into the public distribution network (ENEDIS) - around 30% of the time ;
📈 Support local industrial activity and employment by securing the plant's production with stable in-situ electricity (protection against rising and volatile prices).
🌱 Support the Group's CSR ambitions and objectives.

France is committed to developing renewable energies and increasing energy efficiency, with a target of raising the share of renewable energies to at least 33% of gross final energy consumption by 2030. At present, this figure is only 19%, putting France in 17th place in Europe.

With industrial electricity bills having risen significantly, self-consumption solar power plants provide considerable support for industrial production, making the business resilient to future vagaries on the energy markets (disappearance of the ARENH at the end of 2025, for example).
