A major step forward
for the energy transition
of the Guadeloupe Region!
We are pleased to announce that Elements has been selected by the Energy Regulatory Commission as the winner for the development of two major battery storage projects.
This decision confirms our position as a strategic partner for the stability of Guadeloupe's electricity grid. By securing 10 MW of the total 32 MW allocated, Elements will account for nearly a third of the archipelago's new storage capacity.
Our two winning projects:
- “Les Abymes”: 5 MW / 10 MWh
- “Petit-Bourg”: 5 MW / 10 MWh
What impact will this have on the region?
- Energy sovereignty: Drastic reduction in renewable energy curtailment.
- Economic performance: A direct contribution to an overall efficiency plan, aiming to save €1.347 billion over 15 years for Guadeloupe's electricity system.
- Ecological resilience: A concrete step toward decarbonizing the energy mix by limiting the use of fossil fuels, thereby protecting the ecosystem of our islands in a sustainable manner.
- Scheduled to come into service between late 2027 and early 2028, these assets are the result of demanding collaborative regional development efforts.
A huge congratulations to our teams and thank you to all the stakeholders who made this breakthrough possible. Together, we are accelerating life! 🌿⚡
