🌊 Our first hydroelectric power station in the Alps begins to take shape!
It's the crowning achievement of long-term development work led by LĂ©a Cambon. Work began this autumn at La Giettaz, on the Arrondine river in Savoie, under the watchful eye of Guillaume Berthoux, Mandarine Viel, and yannick monnery. This 850kW power plant should produce 2.8 GWh/year, thanks to two beautiful Francis turbines.
🔧 Next steps: fitting out the water intake, laying 650 m of underground penstock, construction of the building, and installation of the turbines and electrical equipment. Commissioning is scheduled for October 2025.
Financing for this hydro project, known as "Arrondine Aval", has been signed with Crédit Coopératif (for €3.7m) and SOFILARO / CALEN (Crédit Agricole) (for €400k).
