Description of your missions

Historically focused on solar, wind, and hydroelectric assets, ELEMENTS is now evolving its portfolio to support the transformations taking place in the energy market, with an increased focus on:

  • Utility-scale solar power
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Optimizing Asset Performance
  • And international development

As the Group’s renewable energy generation assets continue to expand and evolve, you will report to the Operations Department and oversee the operations and technical performance of these assets.

You are responsible for:

  •  Facility availability
  • Asset performance
  • The quality of maintenance operations
  • Controlling operating costs
  • And the continuous improvement of operational tools and processes

You will also lead the company’s efforts to build expertise in issues related to battery energy storage systems (BESS) and the operation of international assets.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

Development and structuring of future activities

  • Help prepare for the operation of future battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • Define the O&M strategy specific to BESS
  • Help define the relevant technical and O&M standards
  • Challenging aggregators on the market strategy for BESS
  • Supporting the integration of new international employees
  • Help standardize operational practices across the group

Operations and Maintenance Management

  • Oversee the operation of power plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance operations
  • Ensure the availability and performance of the facilities
  • Track incidents and coordinate corrective actions
  • Define and improve operational procedures and standards
  • Ensure the implementation of monitoring and maintenance tools (monitoring, reporting)

Energy Management and Performance

  • Monitor performance metrics for power plants (generation, availability, capacity factor, losses) and battery energy storage systems (SoC, DoD, charge cycles, efficiency)
  • Identify areas of underperformance and propose action plans
  • Develop reporting tools and dashboards
  • Participate in the technical and economic analysis of operating assets
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of portfolio performance

  O&M Contractor and Contract Management

  •  Manage operations and maintenance contracts
  • Coordinate technical service providers (maintenance, high-voltage systems, SCADA, inspection agencies, etc.)
  • Monitor contractual commitments and performance levels
  • Organize inspections and monitor field operations
  • Define the O&M strategy (in-house vs. outsourcing) and ensure O&M cost optimization

Monitoring, Compliance, and Regulation

  •   Ensure compliance with HSE and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee regulatory inspections and prevention plans
  • Monitor technical and regulatory developments related to the company’s operations

Skills required

With a degree in engineering (energy/electricity), you have over 10 years of experience in the industry. You have strong skills in:

  • Contract Management
  • Operation and Maintenance of Utility-Scale Solar Power Plants
  • Safety and HSE
  • High-voltage / Connection
  • SCADA / monitoring
  • Energy Performance Analysis
  • Tracking of technical KPIs

Thorough understanding of the challenges associated with battery storage:

  • Nursing Home
  • PCS
  • Battery monitoring
  • BESS-Specific Safety
